Pfizer UK Counterstrike against Counterfeit Drugs. Disgustingly Effective!

To what extent do we go to draw attention to an issue?  I think Pfizer UK, in the development of the commercial below, has created a new formula for addressing that question.  The more serious the issue, the farther it’s appropriate to go to draw attention to it.

In this case we have a quite serious problem.  A significant number of people in the UK now purchase mail-order drugs via various websites.  It turns out, surprise surprise, that many of the drugs obtained via mail-order from websites are not what they claim to be, or in some cases actually contain dangerous ingredients.
